The Secrets of the Forest By Eden Paulsen
Dawn has broken.Dew still lies lazily on lushes green leaves. There are glistening snail tracks winding up a branch that had fallen to the wet squishy moss beneath it. Flutter a red and black robin swooped down to a bare branch after gliding gracefully across the ocean breeze and salty air. He talked and yelled at his friend like a noisy little parrot.A leave is trickling water into a hole where a worm ance wriggled it's way through the moist damp soil, that has soaked up rain water. Strangely I see a purple tulip blooming...A new beginning.

  1. Mrs Fraser - this is a lovely piece of writing Eden. You have used different language features that we have learnt about in class, plus you left the reader wondering about the "new beginning".
